Hi, I'm Kylie
I have a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering and an industry certification in the canning of low-acid foods (Retort Supervisors' Certification, DWC Food Tech, Australia).
I'm the founder of Patch to Pantry and our signature online membership, The Preserver's Kitchen, where I've helped over 1,000 beginner preservers to confidently and safely preserve food at home.
Before creating Patch to Pantry, I spent over a decade teaching engineering to university students studying Food Technology, and working in the food industry.
Today, I combine that technical expertise with practical, real-life experience to help families build pantries full of safe, nourishing homemade food.
I live on a quarter-acre section in Gisborne, New Zealand with my husband and two daughters – and I know firsthand how life-changing it is to have healthy, convenient food ready on the shelf.
